How can I buy a CoSpaces Edu Pro license plan?

Can I get CoSpaces Edu Basic now and upgrade to Pro later?
Of course! Anytime you use your account, you will be able to choose to upgrade to CoSpaces Edu Pro and will be redirected to our pricing page where you can select the number of seats desired in your license plan.
Can I get CoSpaces Edu Pro now and downgrade to Basic later?
Sure. When your license plan ends after one year, you'll be prompted to either renew your CoSpaces Edu Pro license plan or continue with CoSpaces Edu Basic. Please note that after switching back to Basic, you'll automatically lose all features that are exclusive to CoSpaces Edu Pro and which you may have been using in your spaces.
Can I test CoSpaces Edu Pro for free?
Sure! CoSpaces Edu Pro trials let you try out the Pro version of CoSpaces Edu for free during 1 month with 100 seats and all CoSpaces Edu Pro features.
How can I get a trial code to test CoSpaces Edu Pro?
CoSpaces Edu Pro trial codes are given out by our Ambassadors. Connect with them on Twitter to get a trial code. Click here to view the CoSpaces Edu Ambassadors.
How do I activate a Pro trial?
In CoSpaces Edu Basic, click the "Upgrade to Pro" button at the bottom-left corner, select "Activate trial" and simply enter your trial code.
I'm not in charge of payment. What should I do?
You can start by requesting a quote for the number of seats desired in your license plan from us. With this quote in your hand you can then proceed to the ones in charge of financial matters at your school/institution.
How does the purchase order work?
Simply request a quote from us for the number of seats desired in your license plan. With our quote you can make the necessary steps to get the PO (or any other order form that you use at your school/company/institution). On reception of a purchase order, we will send you an invoice and you will have up to 30 days to make the payment.
I work in a Title 1 School. Can we get a discount?
Yes, we offer discounts to all Title 1 Schools. Please contact us with this information to get a quote.
What happens when my Pro license plan expires?
When your license plan expires after 1 year, you’ll be given the option to renew it for an additional year, to downgrade to CoSpaces Edu Basic or to use a different license plan.
How do I activate my Pro license plan?
From your CoSpaces Edu Basic account, click "Upgrade to Pro" and enter your key to access CoSpaces Edu Pro.
How can I renew my license plan?
Login to your CoSpaces Edu account and click "Manage license plan" to renew your license plan or directly contact us. You can also add seats to your license plan when you renew it.
What are seats and how does the license plan system work?
License plans are valid for a year from the time of purchase and contain a certain number of seats depending on your license plan. A seat can be used either by a student or by a teacher and can be transferred to a new person at anytime. This means that a user can be added, removed or replaced from a seat. What matters is only the total number of seats being used in your account. The number of occupied seats you can always check at the bottom left corner of your screen.
Can several users share a seat?
A seat can be used on 2 desktops and 2 devices. Each user, student or teacher, must use their own seat and login details. However, you can easily re-assign seats to new users.
How can I re-assign seats?
You can easily re-assign seats by removing and replacing students from the seats available in your CoSpaces Edu license plan. Freeing up a seat will let you use it for another student who you can invite with your class invite code. These options are available from the “Manage users” dashboard.
Can I add seats to my license plan?
Yes, you can add seats to your license plan anytime. Go to "Manage license plan" in your CoSpaces Edu Pro account and simply buy the number of seats you'd like to add to your license plan. You can also contact us to get a quote.
Can multiple teachers share a license plan?
Yes, a Pro license plan can be shared between multiple teachers. When you sign-up for a CoSpaces Edu Pro license plan, you'll automatically get a key, which you can share with other teachers to activate their account with.
Can I test the MERGE Cube add-on for free?
Yes! In CoSpaces Edu in the "Manage license plan" section, you'll be given the possibility to activate a one-time 14 days trial of the MERGE Cube add-on.
What are the class management features of CoSpaces Edu?
The platform is developed for teachers to have full access and control over the workflow. From within the browser app, teachers can create and share templates with the class, assign individual tasks to students, collaborate in real-time (between teacher and student only) and monitor the students’ work process remotely.
Does CoSpaces Edu include lesson plans detailing how VR can be used in the classroom?
There is a dedicated page on the website for official lesson plans created by ourselves, our Ambassadors and members of CoSpaces Edu - they can all be downloaded, adapted to your liking and then implemented into your classroom at a moment's notice.
Can I create templates to share with my class?
Templates, or assignments, can be created and shared with your class for various different tasks. Each individual student has the ability to edit and work with your template to suit the requirements of the assignment, whilst you can access these creations remotely and collaborate privately with your students in real-time.
How do I add teachers to my license plan?
To add a teacher to your license plan, you simply need to provide them with your key. They can then create an account with their details (name, email, password etc). Upon completion of successfully creating an account, the teacher can then enter your key and will be included in your plan, using one of the seats from your license plan.
How do I add students to my license plan?
Students can be added to your license plan by inviting them to a class. Students can join a class via the class invite code that is provided to them by the teacher. If the student doesn't have an existing CoSpaces Edu account, then this code can also be entered when creating a new student account. Upon completion of successfully creating an account, the student will be included in your plan, using one of the seats from your license plan.
What happens to my students' spaces when I remove them from my license plan?
Spaces created as assignments in your class will be removed completely, while spaces created by your students individually will still be accessible to them in view-only mode.
What information do I and my students need to enter to use CoSpaces Edu?
Where can students create their own spaces in CoSpaces Edu?
All students get access to a Free play section in CoSpaces Edu where they can build their own creations. This lets students create spaces on their own, without it being part of an assignment.
How can I observe my students' work?
Teachers are able to observe their students’ work in real-time online from their class in the “Students” section. To view your students' Free play spaces, your students will have to click “Give teachers access” in their space.
Can students collaborate within the same space?
Yes! You can create a space as an assignment and share it with a group of students. This will let the students in the group work together within the space that was assigned to them.
What kind of hardware do I need to use CoSpaces?
CoSpaces Edu has been made to be as accessible as possible. All you need to enjoy the experience is a desktop, laptop, Chromebook or mobile, with a working and up-to-date internet browser. The creation process happens inside the browser or the app. When you are ready to experience your virtual creation, you can use any of the above devices to explore. However, you can also utilize a smartphone or tablet for a 360° viewing experience, or a smartphone and headset for the full virtual reality adventure.
Will I be able to access the CoSpaces Edu domains from my school?
Some schools have firewalls that block certain domains and might prevent you from accessing CoSpaces Edu. In order to resolve this, it is necessary to allow all of the domains needed to access CoSpaces Edu's online platform and apps. Please contact your IT department and ask them to whitelist the following domains: cospaces.io, edu.cospaces.io, and https connections (port 443) to cdn.cospaces.io.
Is there any tech support available on hand to help?

How can I experience my creations in VR?
All of your own creations, and many more from the CoSpaces Edu Gallery, can be viewed in VR through the mobile app, available on both Android and iOS, and with a VR headset.

All of your own creations, and many more from the CoSpaces Edu Gallery, can be viewed in AR through the CoSpaces Edu mobile app, available on both Android and iOS, with a recent smartphone or tablet.
What devices can be used to view in AR?
How can I view my creations on the MERGE Cube?
To project onto the MERGE Cube, open a MERGE Cube space in the CoSpaces Edu mobile app from a smartphone or tablet, click Play and hold the MERGE Cube in front of your device's camera.
What devices can be used with the MERGE Cube?
Smartphones and tablets with iOS 9+ and Android 4.4+ can be used to view content on the MERGE Cube, using the CoSpaces Edu mobile app. Click here for more details.

How can I get the MERGE Cube add-on?
If you already have a CoSpaces Edu Pro license plan, you can purchase the MERGE Cube add-on directly from your CoSpaces Edu account and add it to the seats in your license plan. If you're buying a new CoSpaces Edu Pro license plan, you'll be able to include the add-on in your order.
What headsets would you recommend using with CoSpaces Edu?
As CoSpaces Edu runs on the mobile app, all you need is a basic mobile VR headset - these can be made with cardboard by your students, or you can purchase some at a very reasonable price. CoSpaces Edu also works on the Oculus Go and ClassVR headsets.
Is it possible to upload external files to use within CoSpaces Edu?
Yes! In the "Upload" section, you can import various external files to use in your creations. You can upload your own images including 360° images and GIFs, 3D models, video and sound files. You can also use the integrated web search feature to find the right content for your virtual world.
Can I import my own 3D models into CoSpaces Edu?
Yes! You can upload your own 3D models to use in CoSpaces Edu or use the integrated Google Poly search feature to find Poly 3D objects to use in your creations. Supported 3D model formats include STL, OBJ and FBX uploads, although not all features might work. Learn more here.
What features are supported for FBX uploads?
CoSpaces Edu supports FBX uploads within certain limitations: only simple textures are supported (no normal, specular, alpha with transparency), animations from .fbx files aren't supported yet, and the model and its texture should not exceed a total file size of 50MB. Learn more here.
What should I do if my 3D model doesn't upload correctly?
We're working on improving our support of 3D models in various formats. Please tell us about your issue here. This will help us in our troubleshooting to improve the 3D models upload feature.
Is CoSpaces Edu compatible with 360° images?
Uploading 360° images is possible within CoSpaces Edu - click here to watch a tutorial. You can also click here for a library of creative commons, license free 360° images that your students can use. It is also possible for users to export a 360° image of their virtual creations to take home and stick on the fridge - watch the tutorial here!
Where can I get 360° image content with Creative Commons license?
There are plenty of free 360° available, and you can find them here.
What is the difference between CoBlocks and Blockly?
CoBlocks is CoSpaces Edu's own visual block-based programming language and allows coding on desktop or on a tablet. Blockly is web-only and will be discontinued on December 30, 2018.
Does CoSpaces Edu work on the Oculus Go?
Yes, the CoSpaces Edu app on the Oculus store lets you experience your spaces on the Oculus Go.
Does CoSpaces Edu work on the Oculus Rift?
CoSpaces Edu doesn't officially support the Oculus Rift yet. Some users have managed to experience CoSpaces Edu on the Oculus Rift using WebVR. Learn more on our Tech check page.
Does CoSpaces Edu work on the Samsung Gear VR?
Yes, the CoSpaces Edu GearVR app lets you experience your spaces on the Samsung Gear VR.
Does CoSpaces Edu work on the HTC Vive?

Does CoSpaces Edu work on the Google Daydream?
The Google Daydream-compatible app is currently in development.

What standalone VR headsets can I use with CoSpaces Edu?
You can use CoSpaces Edu on the Oculus Go or with ClassVR headsets that have a hardware integration of CoSpaces Edu.
Can I upload videos to my spaces?
Yes! You can upload video files in .mp4 format of up to 50MB to use in your spaces. You'll find this feature in the "Upload" section.
