How much does CoSpaces Edu Pro cost?

Can I get CoSpaces Edu Basic now and upgrade to Pro later?
Of course! Anytime you use your account, you will be able to choose to upgrade to CoSpaces Edu Pro and will be redirected to our pricing page where you can select the number of seats desired in your license plan.
Can I get CoSpaces Edu Pro now and downgrade to Basic later?
Sure. When your license plan ends after one year, you will be prompted to either renew your CoSpaces Edu Pro license plan or continue with CoSpaces Edu Basic. Please note that after switching back to Basic, you will automatically lose all features that are exclusive to CoSpaces Edu Pro and which you may have been using in your spaces.
Can I test CoSpaces Edu Pro for free?
Our Ambassadors give out CoSpaces Edu Pro trial codes letting you test the Pro version free for 1 month with 100 seats. How do I activate a Pro trial?
In CoSpaces Edu Basic, click the "Upgrade to Pro" button at the bottom-left corner, select "Activate trial" and simply enter your trial code.
I am not in charge of payment. What should I do?
You can start by requesting a quote for the number of seats desired in your license plan from us. With this quote in your hand you can then proceed to the ones in charge of financial matters at your school/institution.
How does the purchase order work?
Simply request a quote from us for the number of seats desired in your license plan. With our quote you can make the necessary steps to get the PO (or any other order form that you use at your school/company/institution). On reception of a purchase order, we will send you an invoice and you will have up to 30 days to make the payment.
I work in a Title 1 School. Can we get a discount?
Yes, we offer discounts to all Title 1 Schools. Please request a quote at firstname.lastname@example.org with this information.
What happens when my Pro license plan expires?
When your license plan expires after 1 year, you’ll be given the option to renew it for an additional year, to downgrade to CoSpaces Edu Basic or to use a different license plan.
How do I activate my Pro license plan?
From your CoSpaces Edu Basic account, click "Upgrade to Pro" and enter your activation key to access CoSpaces Edu Pro.
How can I renew my license plan?
Please contact sales at email@example.com to renew your CoSpaces Edu Pro license plan. You can also add seats to your license plan when you renew it.
What are seats and how does the license plan system work?
License plans are valid for a year from the time of purchase and contain a certain number of seats depending on your license plan. A seat can be used either by a student or by a teacher and can be transferred to a new person at anytime. This means that a user can be added, removed or replaced from a seat. What matters is only the total number of seats being used in your account. The number of occupied seats you can always check at the bottom left corner of your screen.
Can several users share a seat?
A seat can be used on 2 desktops and 2 devices. Each user, student or teacher, must use their own seat and login details. However, you can easily re-assign seats to new users.
How can I re-assign seats?
You can easily re-assign seats by removing and replacing students from the seats available in your CoSpaces Edu license plan. Freeing up a seat will let you use it for another student who you can invite with your class invite code. These options are available from the “Account management” dashboard.
Can I add seats to my license plan?
Yes, you are able to add seats to your license plan anytime. Simply purchase the number of seats you would like to add to your license plan in the upper right corner of your “Account management” screen or from this page or by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can multiple teachers share a license?
Yes, a Pro license plan can be shared between multiple teachers. When you sign-up for a CoSpaces Edu Pro license plan, you will automatically get an activation key, which you can share with other teachers to activate their account with.
What are the class management features of CoSpaces Edu?
The platform is developed for teachers to have full access and control over the workflow. From within the browser app, teachers can create and share templates with the class, assign individual tasks to students, collaborate in real-time (between teacher and student only) and monitor the students’ work process remotely.
Does CoSpaces Edu include lesson plans detailing how VR can be used in the classroom?
There is a dedicated page on the website for official lesson plans created by ourselves, our Ambassadors and members of CoSpaces Edu - they can all be downloaded, adapted to your liking and then implemented into your classroom at a moment's notice.
Can I create templates to share with my class?
Templates, or assignments, can be created and shared with your class for various different tasks. Each individual student has the ability to edit and work with your template to suit the requirements of the assignment, whilst you can access these creations remotely and collaborate privately with your students in real-time.
How do I add teachers to my license plan?
To add a teacher to your license plan, you simply need to provide them with your activation key. They can then create an account with their details (name, email, password etc). Upon completion of successfully creating an account, the teacher can then enter your activation code and will be included in your plan, using one of the seats from your license plan.
How do I add students to my license plan?
Students can be added to your license plan by inviting them to a class. Students can join a class via the invite code that is provided to them by the teacher. If the student doesn't have an existing CoSpaces Edu account, then this code can also be entered when creating a new student account. Upon completion of successfully creating an account, the student will be included in your plan, using one of the seats from your license plan.
What happens to my students' spaces when I remove them from my license plan?
Spaces created as assignments in your class will be removed completely, while spaces created by your students individually will still be accessible to them in view-only mode.
What information do I and my students need to enter to use CoSpaces Edu?
What happens to my students' spaces when I remove them from my license plan?
If you delete an assignment or a class, the spaces that your students created as part of this will be automatically deleted too. To safely store your students’ creations, you can create a copy of their assignment. Simply select their space and click “Copy to My Spaces”.
Where can students create their own spaces in CoSpaces Edu?
All students get access to a Free play section in CoSpaces Edu where they can build their own creations. This lets students create spaces on their own, without it being part of an assignment.
How can I observe my students' work?
Teachers are able to observe their students’ work in real-time online from their class in the “Students” section. To view your students' Free play spaces, your students will have to click “Give teachers access” in their space.
What kind of hardware do I need to use CoSpaces?
CoSpaces Edu has been made to be as accessible as possible. All you need to enjoy the experience is a desktop, laptop, Chromebook or mobile, with a working and up-to-date internet browser. The creation process happens inside the browser or the app. When you are ready to experience your virtual creation, you can use any of the above devices to explore. However, you can also utilize a smartphone or tablet for a 360° viewing experience, or a smartphone and headset for the full virtual reality adventure.
Will I be able to access the CoSpaces Edu domains from my school?
Some schools have firewalls that block certain domains and might prevent you from accessing CoSpaces Edu. In order to resolve this, it is necessary to allow all of the domains needed to access CoSpaces Edu's online platform and apps. Please contact your IT department and ask them to whitelist the following domains: cospaces.io, edu.cospaces.io, and https connections (port 443) to cdn.cospaces.io.

How can I experience my creations in VR?
All of your own creations, and many more from the CoSpaces Edu Gallery, can be viewed in VR through the mobile app, available on both Android and iOS, and with a VR headset.

All of your own creations, and many more from the CoSpaces Edu Gallery, can be viewed in AR through the CoSpaces Edu mobile app, available on both Android and iOS, with a recent smartphone or tablet.

What headsets would you recommend using with CoSpaces?
As CoSpaces Edu runs on the mobile app, all you need is a basic mobile VR headset - these can be made with cardboard by your students, or you can purchase some at a very reasonable price.
Is it possible to upload external assets to use within CoSpaces Edu?
The CoSpaces Edu library is host to a plethora of 3D assets and environments, but there is also a dedicated upload button which means that you can use your own personal photos, sounds/music or even use the web search function to find something that's maybe more fitting with your personal virtual world. You can also upload your own .STL and .OBJ files to use within your space - we are working on implementing the use of .FBX!
Is CoSpaces Edu compatible with 360° images?
Uploading 360° images is possible within CoSpaces Edu - click here to watch a tutorial. You can also click here for a library of creative commons, license free 360° images that your students can use. Can I import my own 3D models into CoSpaces Edu?
You can upload your own assets such as 360° images, as well as import items from the Internet with our dedicated search function that is built seamlessly into the software. You can also upload your own .STL and .OBJ files to use within your space - we are working on implementing the use of .FBX!
What is the difference between CoBlocks and Blockly?
CoBlocks is CoSpaces Edu own visual block-based programming language. CoBlocks allows coding on desktop or on a tablet. Blockly however is web-only and can only be used in our web platform, on a computer.
Does CoSpaces Edu work on the Samsung Gear VR?
Yes, the CoSpaces Edu Gear VR app lets you experience your spaces on the Samsung Gear VR.
Does CoSpaces Edu work on the Oculus Go?
Yes, the CoSpaces Edu app on the Oculus store lets you experience your spaces on the Oculus Go.
