Free Play is being replaced by dedicated student areas in each of their classes and under the control of their teachers.
Each teacher of a class is now able to decide whether and when they want to open/close a “Playground” for their students.
Creating within a Playground works just as in Free Play. The only thing that changes for students is where it’s located (in a class).
IMPORTANT: Students have until June 30, 2023, to move any CoSpaces they wish to keep from Free Play to a Playground. On this date, Free Play and all of its content will be removed.
CoSpaces published to the Gallery are now all published as remixable, meaning that the CoSpaces Edu community is free to copy and edit them.
Sharing outside of the Gallery and unlisted is of course still possible.
With the addition of a new tool currently tested in Beta, teachers are now able to create quizzes in just a few clicks. Quizzes can then be sent to students, progress followed and results easily viewed.
A new language option! CoSpaces Edu can now be used in Polish.
CoSpaces Edu is an online platform for kids that’s used in schools all around the world and that can easily be used at home and on any device.
Kids get access to a creation toolbox to build anything in 3D, a visual coding language to program their creations, and fun ways to explore what they’ve created, including Virtual and Augmented Reality!
